ALBEDO is a New Age Music Artist who also writes in the Classical, Soundtrack and Dance genres. ALBEDO was formed in January of 2002, and has since released 15 studio albums. His album "Forgotten Lands" was Nominated for Best Soundtrack Album by the 12th Annual Independent Music Awards. The latest albums have been a work for solo viola and orchestra based on the writings of Edgar Allan Poe called "Seven Tales of Poe" composed by Kelly Joe Richardson and released in 2021, a new age arrangement of cover songs called "Recorder Ensemble" in 2020, a new age arrangement of video game music called "Nintendo Covers" in 2018, a new age arrangement of Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker" released in 2016, a new age arrangement of Holst's "The Planets" in 2015, a new age album of musical interpretations of select unmanned robotic spacecraft of achievement called "Space Probes" in 2014, a new age arrangement of music from Final Fantasy VI called "Magitek" in 2013, a new age Christmas album containing both secular and sacred arrangements in 2012, a five movement classical symphony called "Symphony No. 1" also in 2012, a classical soundtrack to a video game called "Forgotten Lands: The Legend of Shadow Lake" in 2011, a collection of classical orchestral works by Utah composers called "Digital Fingers" in 2010, and a dance album called "7th Heaven" in 2008, which was described by a fan as: "Mannheim Steamroller goes to the club!". DOUG CLYDE started composing as a child on his parents' Casio keyboard, and he started playing the Clarinet at the age of 9. He has released several albums under the music artist name "ALBEDO" with music he composed in the genres of New Age, Classical, Soundtrack and Dance. Doug is also an arranger, orchestrator, singer, actor and instrumentalist. He has played as principal Clarinet for the West Valley Symphony and the Taylorsville Symphony, and also performed with the Draper Symphony. He also plays Saxophone, Oboe, Recorders, and several other instruments. He sung with the Utah Light Opera Company for 4 years, performing in 2 operas, and several Christmas concerts, and has also sung with the American West Symphony Chorus of Sandy. He has performed professionally at the Egyptian Theater in Park City for 4 musicals, on stage and in the orchestra. He has also performed in more than 35 community productions, on stage, in the orchestra, and on stage crew. Including arranging, orchestrating, and recording the background score for a Bennion Junior High musical in 2005. Doug has also acted in films by the LDS Motion Picture Studio, including the film for the Mormon Battalion Visitor's Center in San Diego, a short film called "Masque" staring Wilford Brimley, some local medieval fantasy films called "Kingdom By the Sea", "A Royal Elf of Abalon", and "Shahira and the Flying Elfs", plus five separate skits for the BYU TV comdey show "Studio C". He also helped behind the scenes for videos by Stuart Edge and Alex Boye. He founded his own business ALBEDO MUSIC in 2008, which he still owns and operates.
